Hello everyone,
I was reading the posts throughout the site and it's all pretty amazing!!! My question is: I'm into buying a 95 Civic but it's my first car ever so I haven't even opened a hood in my life(it happens )So I was thinking if I could pay like 200 dollars to someone who is knowledgable in this and will do all the checking and testdriving for me. Is there such a service if I don't have a knowledgable friend... If you know of something like that I'd really appreciate your help. by the way I live in Toronto, ON, Canada Thanks a bunch. David |

Most repair/body shops will do a check for you for less than $200. You could also take it to the local gas station service garage, like Amoco or Jiffy Lube. Usually have to set up an appointment.

Check around with your family first to see if they know any mechanic nearby. Generally they will do it as a favor... unless it is a car that you shouldn't be driving like a 93 talon with awd and a turbo and tells your parents not to get it or your son would die... dammit, that would have been a nice first car. Sorry, I am still upset about that 4 years later.
