Is it safe to switch from the green antifreeze to dex-cool (orange stuff) in an older senta (92 model sentra).

i dont think there is anything wrong with it. you just have to make sure to completley flush out all of the old stuff. they cant be mixed. so make sure you run your hose through it several times. Why switch. they both work the same but the new stuff lasts longer, other than that they do the same thing. just make sure that there is no green stuff left cause that can cause problems.

If your car has the green stuff, stay with the green stuff. Your seals and such in/on the engine are made for it, they are not made for dex-cool. They have different properties.
