yea.. another stress release thread about girls. here goes:

in two months, i'll be heading to college. not that far away, only 2 hours from my house. what do you know though, i finally find a girl that I like, and i'm leaving in two months. she likes me too, we've talked about it. just nothing can happen because she's been in the situation where she really likes a guy, and he's left her before.

what do i do in this situation? i know there's the whole 'college experience' of meeting new girls and everything, but i've gotten drunk and ended up in bed with girls numerous times, and i'm kind of over it for the time being. I need some actual deepness in a relationship. i don't think a long distance relationship would work? what do i do?

I dont really see that you have many options here......you said she doesnt want to do the long distance thing because of past experiences, and you want to go to college and I dont see that giving up on college over a girl is the best idea, so basically you just have to get over her.
I'm sure you will incounter many girls in college that may be more convenient, location wise.
Either that or one of you needs to make a big decision to move or stay in the area of the other, such as her moving to where your going to school or you just not going to that school.....Is this relationship worth that ?

Considering your age - you should just move on.

However, long distance relationships can work out. My wife and I spent over four years commuting three hours each direction on weekends to see each other before we were married (and for nine months afterwards as well).

I wouldn't have a problem coming home on the weekends for her, and she could probably stay up there with me a few days out of the week, but I just don't see it happening. Shame too, because it's hard to find a girl I don't despise after getting to know them.

I have been through all this due to being in the military. Watch yourself. If its meant to be it'll work, if not, it wont. The one person who has always been there doesnt need to "see" me all the time, she knows I still love her.

She's up here now, so no more driving. Its much better to live with your wife everyday then just on weekends! But, it was worth the hassle of the drive and time apart to finally end up in the same place.

Well good charlote is pretty gay, making punk a style and all instead of a life for many people, so i wouldnt listen to it, lol Idk what to think here, is she worth it to have a long distance relationship? How long have you known her? And like others have said, there are other fish in the sea, no matter how hard it is to let go of this one.

I haven't known her for too long.. 6 weeks about. I just wouldn't mind having a meaningful relationship with someone. I guess I have to wait for it though. I'll just continue seeing her throughout the summer and see what happens when I leave.

Thanks for your help fellas. Life is easier when you don't try to figure it out and just let things happen. Think I'll take that route with this one.

Status update: Hell with it. It's handled.. Both of us know it wont work and have come to accept it, making our friendship stronger. Talk about deja vu.. oh well.. I've made some great friends this way.
