Shift Linkage
Hi,
I am taking out the shift linkage that goes to my tranny. The torque rod is easy enough to disconnect. But the problem is the shift rod, I took the clip out and it says to pull the pin out and the shift rod will ditach. However, I cant get the pin to come out. I tried hooking pliers and vice grips to it and they dint have enough room to grip it and pull it out. Any help would be appreciated.

you need a punch or plunge whatever to get it out. ITs a tool that looks like a need of some sort and u just hammer it out. You can use a small screw driver to punch it out.
