I would think so. Only thing all that stuff is doing is allowing for better air flow in and out of the car. As long as you keep a catalytic converter and muffler that will keep emissions up to code, I think you'd be fine.

If you're in California though, make sure every piece you put on it states carb exempt so you don't get in trouble.

Yea you are best off staying with companies like AEM, DC SPorts etc they come with carb exempt plates and the pigs can give you a ticket if you have a mod that does not have the carb plate. I tis extreme B.S IMO but what can ya do

Well, my Del Sol is a b16 as well. I've considered an engine swap myself and the three I've thought about so far is a b18b/vtec, b18c, or a b20/vtec. Not sure if I really want a swap though, so I'm going to start with an exhaust system and CAI for the b16 since I can always put those on the new engine.

Of course, I'd like to put put a supercharger on the car eventually, so I may just either supercharge the b16 or put in a b18c and supercharge that. If I go the b18b/vtec or b20/vtec route, I will likely forgo the supercharger and build the engine for an all-motor Del Sol. Just a question of what you'd ultimately like to do to your Del Sol and then make your decision from that. I'm still a bit undecided, but I can at least do the intake and exhaust in the mean time and see how it turns out.

If you go with the B18C, take B16EJ1's suggestion and get a '98+ year engine since those and your car are both OBD2.

oh yea B18C5, Type R engine, alot of horses, but I wouldn't swap the engine in mine, did that in the 94 integra I had, the twin head lights model, so much work to do, I'm thinking bout a T3 Turbo Charge with racing cams and gear, rebuilt the engine with whatever racing parts I can get and boost it to what ever it can take then, it would be alot of work too but it be alot more power than just an engine swap, thats what i like to do myself doesn't mean other suggestion are bad so don't get me wrong, one of the reason maybe is because I never had a turbo charge honda and I missed the BOV sound i used to have in the EVO...!!!
