Question Skipped a Step

I was detailing the body of my NSX before clearcoating it, and I thought I was done, so I started spraying it last night. Turns out I forgot to paint this black lip at the front of the car. This lip has been black on all NSX versions so far, so if I don't do it, it will clearly be a "modified" car.

I'm just posting to see what you guys would do in this situation. Would you take a deep sigh and go paint it black, or just keep going and convince yourself it looks better that way? A matter of preference, I know, but still...

BTW, I've already decided what to do. I just wanted to see what you guys would do...

Also, my model's red, not yellow like the pic. It's just for reference about the 'lip.'

Depends if you can get away with painting it over the clear coat? maybe but another thin clear coat over the top (since on the real car its plasitc, it would be matt any way)
I would just leave it as is though, Its a pretty small part, whos going to know. :P

so what did you decide to do?

Depends on how much you want it to look like the real car.

If it was me i'd paint it.

I'd carbon fibre decal it and say it was an aftermarket part!
You could easily get away with leaving it though! many skylines have their front lip colour coded! makes the car look lower!

I went back and made it black. Right now, I'm interested in making my cars pretty street-stock.

However, I didn't paint it. I have black bare metal foil, and I used that. It needs a bit of black paint touch up around the edges, a couple more coats of clear, then the rubbing begins.

Did it work OK. ??

I used that a while ago on the Honda PIAA and found it didnt stick very well. The silver is a lot better.
