This is doable with R32's but making it look good really depends on the bodystyle of the car and the work put in. It will look good on an 89-94 Hatchback 240 because I've seen it. I'm not sure about the coupe models, but it should work for them as well.

As you can see the lights are about the same size, so i dont think it would be to much custom work to get'em in. I'm no bodywork guru, but it looks like you could turn the r32 lights upside down and put them in to fit that curve in the 240's light.

I wouldnt do this on a 95+ model because the backend's bumper is sort of curved and doesnt look like it would accomodate the light very well.

As for this being rice, where can I pick up the manual most of you are reading from because I'd like to know what is considered rice and what isnt. I'm guessing RB-swapped 240's and 240Z's, 13b swapped Corollas, and SR and CA swapped 240's are rice. I'm pretty sure silvia s15 and s13 frontends are rice as well.

rb, sr, and ca swaps are NOT rice. they are PERFORMANCE MODIFICATIONS. the definition of a ricer is someone who values looks over performance. the silvia s15 and s13 frontends are NOT rice if they came like that stock, or if you have an engine like the rb, sr, or ca to back up the looks.

thats correct 180 tails and the original 240 tails are the same size, i just couldnt find a decent backend photo of a stock 240.

so yes this doesnt make it any harder or different when putting R32 tails in i imagine.

I get a lil angry whenever i see people getting bashed for trying something new. This guy is changing something from the same brand of cars so i dont think you have the right to call it rice. Maybe this guys tailights are shot and he wants to try soemthing cool when he replaces them. All I'm saying is you guys as a whole need to lighten up on some of the "rice damning" thats been going on lately. It is OK to have a nice looking or custom car.

Rule of thumb

If it enchances performance, its not rice...

Ya ya, you can trash bodykits and such, but some reduce weight.

Bascially, anything that doesnt serve a performance purpouse CAN be rice

Umm.....why not just get the kouki taillights and then buy the covers that make them look EXACTLY like R32 taillights?

cause R32 tailights are haloed and not just all around lit. that halo effect of any skyline tailights make it look differen then any other round taillight car ( corvette, ferrari, impala )

I think it would be better than molding in the shit into the cars body.

with the covers you could go back to the 240 lights and with custom fabbed lights you cant.

no it's not. he isn't the only guy in NA with them. that car is, in fact, for sale on eBay right now. it's a race-prepped SR-powered coupe with a C-West front bumper, stripped interior, Tein's etc.

oh, and about him needing rims? those ARE rims...they're old skool Enkei's that he painted powder black.
