Help guys i race today and the car isnt starting.
ok well the car was power exept when i goto crank it i took out alternator and tested it and its fine...im thinking its a starter but i have never done a starter...
this is what it does...power stereo works right...but when i crank it doesnt start...me and DarkImportGrey jumped it at my house it started and i just got to drive down the street before it died while i was driving, it just lost power, stereo went off blinker died and plop so did car. anyone?

id say its ur alternator and battery.
once the car is started the starter does nothing. if it just diedm then the alt and prodcuing any power to keep it living, maybe a ground got loose on the alt and it holding juice.

batterys pretty new too this alternators only 2 months old

k well heres whats i did...i just hooked an emergency jump start to the battery and it started...well it seems to keep loosing power...ehhhhh

its not holfing a charge then ur batt is fucked. if is still under warrenty which i hope it is, then just have em replace it, could just be a freak thing.
plus it would explain why your engine wont start right away, the battery is what cranks the starter for power, alt does nothing till the car is running.

check the larger fuses by the battery, sometimes they will break an open when hot, after they cool they'll allow power to pass again

once a fuse blows, it wont carry electricity through it again, they arent circuit breakers.

did you get a honda alternator or is it one of those cheep autozone ones, i have really bad experience w/ most parts from autozone and other cheep places.

I'm no street racer nor do want to be, my goal is a fun car... that leaves SUVs in the dust. current car: red 90-civic-STD-hb with dx trannie, ecu, shift knob, & rear seats. i hate my vynil seats. p.s. i am once again with computer, please forgive the one year leave of absence.
