RB26DET / 25det simple Q
After doing alot of reading, and surfing around, the RB series motor seams like a better swap than the sr20det.
The RB26det will fit, however, you need the rb25det tranny, and to convert it to single turbo in order to clear the steering assembly? is this correct? I appears the rb25det has almost as much potential as an rb26det? slightly smaller displacment, and less factory boost? Is all this correct? |

yes yes and yes
but ask your self one question what if some thing simle goes on the rb motor are you willing to wait a couple of weeks for parts to come in from japan to fix your car because the rb series parts are very very limited in the u.s. btw if you do a rb swap i would do a rb25det because itz cheaper and the less modification to make it fit.. good luck 1

Definately go with the RB26DETT cuz it has much more potental. I have one in my s13 with a one legger and bone stock motor and Im pulling 12.3@118 mph in the 1/4 mile. I did the swap myself and are still running the stock torbos. I have answers [email protected]
