New Tranny?

hi all im gonna replace my 2.2l cavalier engine with a 2.4l. My question to you guys is. Do i have to chagne out the tranny or is it all just a direct swap???

u cannot use the exsisting 2.2L tranny w/ a 2.4L engine, u have to have the 2.4's. sometimes engines come w/ a tranny, but u'll just have to check.

ditto...its a different mounting set up, and a different size engine; you need a new tranny....get a standard if you do get it, you can get so much more hp and torque out of a standard....unless you dont race, but then why would u be getting a bigger engine?
