next Ford Taurus GT
We all know the actual Taurus will be redesigned sometimes this year or so. Here is a pic of what it could be, in a GT version, based on the australian Ford.

The Taurus will be replaced, not redesigned. It will be replaced by the Ford Five Hundred sedan and Ford Freestyle SUV-like wagon next year and the Ford Futura sedan in 2005. None of which will be RWD or based on anything Australian.
The Five Hundred and Freestyle are loosely based on the Volvo P2X platform which is the basis of the senior Volvo models (S60, V70, XC70, S80, XC90). The Futura will be based on the Mazda6/Atenza, which are loosely derived from the Ford Mondeo. All models will be FWD with AWD offered.
