Cost of a swap

Hey I'm just about to buy a 95-97 Neon and am just wondering about how much it would take to swap an srt-4 motor into a reg neon. Price and work...Thx for the help

I'm just going to guess and say that it would probably be more expensive than you would want it to be. Probably could just get an srt-4 for about the same price.

You know, 2.4L/turbo swaps are not at all unheard-of. They usually use a Stratus, PT, Minivan 2.4L for the swap. Call it a proto-SRT-4, since the first swaps of that nature came WAY before the SRT-4 was out.

Much of the cost is dependant on how much you're willing to do yourself, how much you're willing to get used parts from a scrapyard, and (most of all) how much research you've done. Few swaps are a simple plug-in affair.
