Sign the Evo Petition!
After watching what Subaru did with the WRX and not offering the US an option for the STi version, I felt that the US should tell Japanese Manufacturers what they really want; the full pleasure of a Japanese supercar. So I wrote a petition on PetitionOnline.com telling the manufacturer we don't want a detuned Skyline, or WRX, or Lancer Evo, and if they are going to give us a detuned version, at least bring the real thing with them too.
So I ask you as Evo enthusiasts to tell Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Subaru what we want. Just take 30 seconds and sign the petition. I'd really appreciate it. Sign the petition here. And of course the real reason for this petition is that I want an EvoVII GSR, but I don't want no stinkin' 227hp GSR  !--Justin

us at fault
im a newbie and just trying to make a first post, so you probably know this already
its not true japan want to send tuned down versions of their cars, its just that the us want to keet superior imported cars out of the country so that domestic crappy car manufacturers can prosper and help the economy. they require the manufacturers to crash about 20 vehicles-which neither subaru or mitsubishi can afford (mitsu is about $3,000,000,000 in debt) and must have low emissions-super low emissions for california as well as test reliability. this is why subaru watered down the WRX, nissan has not sent the skyline over yet, and the evo is everywhere but at the us-also why the rx7 was kicked out too

I'm from the UK but I'll sign anyway.
The reason why you don't get many fully blown JDms are: -High crash testing standards -Low emmissions -The Government wants you to drive SUVs or domestic cars so that their local industry/economy prospers, as said. If you ask me I think you should send this petition to DoT. Also, I think the Government is playing Big Brother on your lil asses  and forcing you to do things.

thats a good petition, but about the Domestic being good, some of the domestic cars produce more pollution out of the mufflers then imports but im not sure. Those are one the problems i heard from the states not legalizing Japan Imports with the same HP
