AC Problem Help Please

i have a 94 firebird v8, when i bought the guy said the ac clutch needed to be replaced for air to work,the ecm throws a code 66, ac low pressure switch, i tried to jump at the ac relay and the clutch would not engage, is the clutch bad or is the pressure switch interferring with the clutch engaging,or does the pressure switch even matter when you jump the relay,please help it is sooo hot here in florida

jump the switch but i wouldn't run it long if its low it could damage the compressor i would take it to a pro if you don't know what you are doing you could do serious damage to the system
