Corvette to Camaro

would it be beneficial to take a corvette v8 engine and swap it into my camaro? my camaro is a 94 v6 at the moment and id be taking a corvette engine from one of a simillar year

I'm by no means an expert but from what I've read on this site and others putting a V8 in a car that is setup for a V6 is a very difficult and expensive undertaking. You might be better off selling the V6 Camaro and getting a V8 Model THEN deciding if the Corvette engine would improve performance enough to warrant the work of switching the engines.

Just trade it in for a Z28 or SS. Would be alot cheaper, and save you a massive amount of headaches. Plus, the Z28's and SS's already have the Corvette motor.

The motor in the v8 camaros is the same motor as in the corvettes, just slightly detuned with different manifolds and intake.

Swapping a v8 into a v6 car is no easy task. You would be a lot better off buying a z28 or SS. Its cheaper to buy a car with a v8 in it already as well.

Why dont you just keep the corvette engine in the corvette? if i had a corvette i wouldnt take the engine out ta put it in my firebird.
