We might not get the Evo VII, people...
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the Evo Vii probably won't make it this fall. We'll probably end up with the Evo VIII! There will be minor changes to the exterior, including the return of the massive front foglights. I don't remember the performance changes however, but it should be faster in keeping with Evo tradition.

Where did you get that info, even if it doesn't make it till Febuary of 2003, they were still saying it was gonna be the EVO VII.
I want to read the article, so would you post the link or wherever you got this info from?
Not saying your source is a crock, but I just wanna see it, cause I serf all day for new articles and I havn't seen that one yet.

I have not found anything with that type of udate on EVOs in the US.

"Better VIII than never"
Mitsubishi confirms its Lancer Evolution will be sold in America, starting in January of 2003. While the car at the LA show was an Evo VII, next year's production car could be an Evo VIII, given the development time between now and then. Mitsubishi says to expect "more than 250 rabid horses" from the turbocharged 2.o-liter four, four wheel drive, Brembo brakes and a sticker price below $30,000.
