Re: WIP: BHP pro mod 99 mustang

its not wire. it is brass rod. the diameter is 1/16. the reason i use brass is because it can be soldered together

ok. after spending the last half hour resizing and rotating pictures i've got quite an update for you guys. lets see. where to start. hmm. I got the roll cage padding done. it was done with some, vinyl? beading chord. and the ties are monofilament fishing line. the seat, its a kit peice from a revell dragster. nothing special. just detailed it by painting the harness red and the hardware silver. the pedals are flattened and textured solder, the steering wheel is from a revell funny car. the guages that are in the dash are aluminum tubing. no guage faces tho. when they are in the car you can't tell anyway. the switches are straight pins. the tach will be moved and hung from the roll cage. the switch panel is styrene card, with, again, straight pins for switches. down in the passenger floor board, i have a scratchbuilt data acquisition unit, and my MSD box from bestresin.com. i know. it should be a pro mag 44 box, but oh well. the battery box is from perry's resin, as is the fuel cell. all of my braided line is simply elastic chord, got that tip from bad scale racing, it makes a convincing replication. as for the motor, i used a motor out of a camaro pro mod i had in my hot rod magazine for all of the plumbing. well on to the pictures. let me know what you guys think. ALL comments and criticism are welcome

and i saved my favorite one for last.....pullin the wheels!

That hat big enough? You're going to be sucking in audience members. Awesome looking project. On the 3rd outside pic, is that a blue torino I spot in the background, or is it something else?

Hear you on that. I didn't even get the metal parts in my Integra kit from Revell, and I still havent orderd. That's practically all the models missing besides clear, cut, polish, and glass.

Can't wait to see some updates.
