Koenig Specials Porsche 928 S4
I started this kit since I am still waiting for the the Hartge H5-24 body to dry.
I can't stop doing models. It's so addicting. I hate mold lines and the body had a lot. The mold lines on the tires was a pain. It took a while to paint the chassis since the front part of the exhaust is not a separate piece. Interior will be in German grey, dark sea grey and the seats in white. The body is going to be painted in gold.

Finished the interior and decided to see how it will fit the body.
 To my surprise, the passenger side's fitting was poor to say the least, but driver side was fine. I thought that I was the one to blame and measured the the height for both sides and they are the same.  Is this typical for a Fujimi kit? How do you solve this type of problem?  To add to my frustration, there were gaps that needed to be filled with putty too.

??? strange thing you 've got there...
Maybe you could either cut a part out of the door or just lower the right peg where teh interior tub sits on teh chassis and then re-measure it ! Nice thing is you 've noticed these impureties at this moment, so you got the time to remake it! Olivier

Can someone tell me what happened here?
I put the can in hot water and then shake it really well like always, but this is what I got. I used Tamiya TS-21 Gold.  Another angle.

Is the area smooth?, if it is, Maybe there was too much thinner in that area
The model kit seems to be coming along nicely!

Jonno, the trouble area looks smooth. The paint is still wet so I don't want to touch it.
ZoomZoomMX-5, I think you are right about the metallic particles. It looks dark at some angles and shiny at others. Another question. I kept spraying on the same area trying to cover it with another coat of paint. In the end I think I got 6 coats on it. As a result some details are gone. What do you guys/gals do to fix this and get the details back? I know sanding it will probalby work, but what about getting back panel lines?

You might want to try that on a couple areas, or you might have to strip off the paint if it chips. Polly S easy lift off remover, or automotive brake fluid work on Tamiya sprays. I like to rescribe lines when the model is in the primer stage, primer and plastic are easier to scribe than gloss paint.

I let the paint job dry for 2 weeks, sanded and applied a few really light coats of gold and clear as suggested. Thanks!
 Here it is waiting for polishing.
