Amazing, I love the 7 !

It's really superb what you're making, gio!

I really like this idea of a windscreen, I love it too. I wish I had a seven to play with...

Oh, what's this orange lil car?

sweet!

See you on the deadline!

Thanks Les, Oli: we have ever a whish: today Andy come back home and I hope he's in HUGE delay with his machining stuff on the 7 (LOL), so since he's the boss of the 7's group I'll use all my influence (read spam LOL) to let be the deadline a bit "elastic" LOL

Re: AFS7 Group Build, gio's contribution ;)

Thanks guys: few updates:

engine previously painted with Polished Alu (Alclad) was stripped and repainted MM Met Alu, buffed only the cam cover, sealed.

now it need some wire, fuel lines, cables, pulleyes and belts system with alternator and pumps in front, starter in back side.

Turned exaust: too long

cutted down, carbon decalled (HI-Res SM), I have to work on the manifold.

I worked also on the scratchbuilt air intake-ignition base (now a fuel rail is needed)

Soon with some engine details, next step finally on the body shell.

ciao!

Wow, see what I miss when I skip town for a couple of weeks?

I love it with the Porsche inline 4!! Terrific engine for a 7. This will be another fun one to watch.

And as for the deadline- well, I'll be very surprized if mine is done in three weeks....

Holy s***! Man I love what youve done with the exhaust! Is it scratchbuilt? That carbon fiber work is amazing too! Keep it up! Subscribed!

Fantastic works on the rollcage gio! And the exhaust pipe is amazing, I thought it's covered with real carbon fibre before seeing your description, that's perfect! Can't wait for more!

Geo, How big is your new muffler?
I'm going to make one as well and I'm trying to save any time I can.

Re: AFS7 Group Build, gio's contribution ;)

Ferrari TR: approx 22 mm long diam 0.75 mm, I guess mine is a bit undersized but I had to cut, simply I unliked bigger.

Updatez: finally after dozen pass of primer-putty-primer-sand etc. I had a decent grey surface, sanded with 2000 grit, followed by white primer (sanded+polished under runny water), than I sprayed stright from the can the Bright Orange (a couple of mist coats) followed by 3 coats of yellow (TS16? ever straight from the can). Now I have to wait for curing an so polish it. Next steps carbon on fenders and clearcoat (not sure may be only matt clear on fenders, I like the thiny appeal of yellow w/out clear). Nosecone would be carbonized, except the front white line. Primers wasn't sanded and polished in the interior's panel so I'll see a different texture, polished out, rough inside . Last edit: I just LOVE multilayer painting with different colors, I start to se this tip with my 360CS, now I have a reach yellow that on reflection allow to see something of the orange

I done also two little radiators folding stainless steel PE parts (not easy, better german silver, but inox have a unique and fantastic unoxided texture) and seaming they: also seamed a couple of pipes to fix cooling hoses:

ciao!
