Re: HA! finally I raced a Ninja on the Freeway!

Nice runs. I beat my buddies old Honda Hurricane from a roll. The newer bikes propose a stronger challenge, but from a roll they don't have as big of an advantage as they do from a dig. I'd say to beat a newer Ninja 636cc bike you'd need atleast 425awhp.

My buddies beat a newer 700+cc bike from a roll with less then 450whp, and I know the guy is a good rider.

Re: HA! finally I raced a Ninja on the Freeway!

You mean the one my buddy raced, or the one I raced. The one that my buddy raced is on camera. Here are some of the vids of him smoking a Ninja and an R6:

Actually my buddy Mike has 2 300ZX TT's, but they aren't that car in the race. That is Javary's car. Mike wishes any of his Z's were as quick as Javary's car. Mike does have a 520whp Z28 though (He makes that on 10.5psi, he was running 8.5 psi in that run though). Both cars are making identical horsepower. I'm just trying to show what's needed to beat a bike. People don't seem to realize that from a roll a bike doesn't have as big of an advantage as from a dig.

Re: HA! finally I raced a Ninja on the Freeway!

the lack of torque is what holds bikes back from rolls.....but if in the right gear they could still take off pretty good......what are your buddys times on those cars.....

I think Mike's afraid of running his car at the strip. Mayhaps it's a fear of a bad time or of him blowing out his 10 bolt rearend (Which is likely to happen).

Javary ran an 11.7 sec. pass at LACR (Elevation 3000 ft., DA usually 5-6K feet). He ran that time without max boost. I'd guess that he could scrub off a low 11 sec. pass on max boost and at a decent track (LACR is probably the worst track in California).

Re: HA! finally I raced a Ninja on the Freeway!

if indeed he runs best a 11s in a 1320 then it is possible that he can beat 600cc bikes from a roll....most of the newer bikes are high 10s to low 11s bikes...but most people cant ride them to those times or are afraid to ride them to those times......but I also know for a fact that racing a bike from a dig is a big no no....they will own you...bad
