Re: Completed: 1991 Jaguar XJR-14

Thanks for the kind comments everybody, maybe I should make models more often.

Don't know if this kit is still available WasteGas. I think MediaMix still has the full detail version. I recieved this curbside kit by mistake a few years ago, still have the opened up early season car to build some time in the future.

Actually the vacformed windshield is one part of the kit that looks better in the pictures than real life. Their are several "dimples" in the plastic that I could do nothing about. Also the black trim is a mix of ill-fitting decal and semi gloss paint, a bit rough in spots.

Re: Completed: 1991 Jaguar XJR-14

Lovelly work Phil, looks spot on. I've always liked the 14 most of all of the XJRs, the color scheme seems to suit it so well.

Grand Prix Models in the UK is still listing several versions of the kit, both open and closed for those tht expressed an interest so one would assume LMM are still producing them.

Excellent results, Phil! The rough spots arent noticeable. The photography is superb, also. You SHOULD build more than two a year!
