after 5 days of waiting I wet sanded the body and polished it with tamiya compound... I am going to wait for another day so everything settles down.

Then I will either clear coat it or just polish it again and leave it the way it is...

The chassis:

After staring at the car for a while I thought something was a miss...

Sponsor decals!!!! So I started fiddling around my decals sheets pile and kit decals, but I realized I have to ruin 6 decal sheets from various kits to get decals and most were not what I wanted. I wanted all black decals... maybe shades..

So I said why not, and custom built my decals... luckily I had a sheet of inkjet decal paper I bought a year ago from germany. so I printed the logos on the paper... Here are 2 photos..

this one is a little off color but it shows you whay I printed and the name of the decal on top.

Here is a detail shot of a portion of the decal.

once dry (atleast I thought it was) I applied a coat of microsol decal liquid over it. let it to dry again. since it was not all dry some of the decals were ruined but I still have 95% of the sheet so it is acceptable

then I tested with one of the ruined decals and it worked great.

Here is what the GT3 looks like at the moment.

enjoy

Re: Porsche GT3 / Honda NR

Good job on the spoiler. The paint job is especially nice.

Re: Porsche GT3 / Honda NR

well the gt3 project has come to an abrupt stop with me accidentally dripping thinner on the body I will leave it alone for a while for the paint to dry and see if it can be repaired...

Re: Porsche GT3 / Honda NR

Sorry to hear about that and I hope you get it fixed.. That paint looked so perfect! Anyway if and when you get it fixed tel me that you´re going to paint those wheels black like the wing and the decals, it would look awesome!

Re: Porsche GT3 / Honda NR

flying finn: The rear wing will be CF actually

the wheels I was debating on actually... leave as they are or an anodized look. (dark metalic gray or blackish color)

ywwong: thanks

Re: Porsche GT3 / Honda NR

Whatever you'll do, it will look awesome! Hope the thinner didn't damaged your beautifull paint!

(looking at the photo, the chromed wheels seem to be white... I love that, a good racing look!...)

Re: Porsche GT3 / Honda NR

well actually the hood, the nose and the right front quarter is damaged.... I washed it with water as soon as it happened so the damage should be kept to a minimum (I hope) I am just leaving it alone at the moment. It should be fixable...as sson as I am in a better mood I ll fix it

white...hmmm..... now thats an idea....
