help on noisy gsr
ok got a simple question theres a humming noise coming from the front wheels. First I thought it was tire noise but my friend with the same exact car (98 four door gsr) and tires (azenis) has no noise problem. So I figured it was the wheel bearings because on both wheels the inside tread wore down all the way to bald. I got a 4 wheel alignment when I got the tires and I only have stock suspension. I checked the wheels off the ground for any play ( wiggled from top to bottom to see if there was play). I also left wheels spinning in 1st gear and really didnt hear no noise except for a little noise from the rotor touching. please help

Re: help on noisy gsr
I have the same problem with my 99 2door with Dunlops. I had Kuhmos on it before and thought they were the problem until these new Dunlops. I've asked a local Honda mechanic and he blames the tires but it sounds worse than tire noise. I'm pretty much convinced it's either the CV's(fairly easy) or the intermediate shaft bearing.(little more difficult) It could be, at worst case, the side bearings on the transmission. Hopefully it's just the CVs. My problem is exactly like you describe.
