Smile Help!

Hello again, a minor update and a request for pics. Ferrari obviously made some changes to the 288 in the engine bay and front compartment throughout it's production run. I found plenty of pics of the engine bay and have completed it, but the front comartment is still a mystery. In the magazine pic I have included, you can see a different shaped tire holder than the one in the kit, also the battery is in the corner, but in the kit it is under the car in front of the front suspension. If anyone has pics of this compartment from what I assume is an early car that was more race prepared, plese PM me.

This is the front suspension assembly with battery mounted.

Magazine pic of compartment unlike kit configuration.

Kit instructions showing front assembly.

This is a test fit of the radiator, spare tyre etc. The fake plastic tyre will be replaced with a rubber one.

Thanks for your help and support!

I am very impressed! I thought the front suspension assembly was real.

Found another pic Veyron, doesn't look good for our kit parts hey!

We gonna go for some scratch building then and replicate the boot as the pics show it!
It looks much better for a start!
Guess it means re-locating the battery! The rest I know I have in the spares box!
I'll go for it if you do!!!

Re: Fujimi Ferrari 288 GTO Enthusiast kit progression sessions.

I think I will make a tyre cover out of Parafilm M.

Yes, 1/24, there are many more 1/24 Enthusiast kits than 1/16 actually.

Smile

Decided to stick with my original idea of painting the lower half semi gloss black like the early 512BB's were.

Got the seats striped by using black thin stripe decals.

Thinking about using these Tamiya F40 wheels as they look a little better than the kit wheels.
