your engine is very good. i love it!
i have a EM Series 288gto, too. it's a very good model cars. i am rebuilding. there is a cover in picture. i will use soda cans(aluminium piece) to make one. and use compound to polish that piece. i think it will be a good idea.

The Panoz is about 80% done, I love the car but it's a boring model to build, that's why I built three Tuners in a row so I could use some imagination.
The 288 is a nice change because it's been a long time since I detailed an engine.
Oh, forgot to tell you...that silver Panoz was on display on Saturday at the British Car Days show at Chateau Elan...

So you missed it and the 340R.

But at least someone's building! Lookin' good so far.

I totally agree, one of the most beautiful Ferraris of all times (although is really hard to chose a beauty amongst beauties).
You have choose a great colour for this one. It’s going real good.

Ferrari's are beauties? Go away

j/k Everyone who knows me a bit, knwos also my attitude towards Italian Stallions. HOWEVER! The 288 GTO is the exception to confirm that rule. It IS a beauty! Period.

Another one for the bookmarks.

Cool stuff Brian

Smile The torque has begun!

After much tweaking and reglueing, the engine and it's massive plumbing are installed. part of the sub frame is twisted yet the rear tires are level, don't ask me why. When I build the next one(all red) I'm going to glue the engine/transaxle to the frame and build it up from there to get everything better aligned, this is opposite to the instructions. Still have a few kit parts and scratch details to add to the engine bay before I move to the front chassis components.

A test fit to the body to check for clearance.

Smile A step completed!

Engine bay is now complete! I added a few tubes and wires, etched square exhaust flanges for the top of the shock towers and a tiny aluminum AN fitting for the shock bolt/nut. Some Bare Metal Foil was used for heat shielding on the air intakes.

Another test fit, fits fine.
