In the meantime I switched back to the body-work.

After the 2 clear coats have dried I painted the window frames and the radiator grills.

The mirrors got a CF-treatment and 2 coats of clear coat. Last but not least I put a coat of smoke on to make them a bit darker.

The headlight-mirrors have been painted silver color and the gastank-cover has been glued in.

Here are a few pictures :

Allright, for the last time I switch to the interior. I just got to finish it today. The seats have been treated with CF-decals and a gloss coat (at the back) and with matt black, Recaro-decals and drybrushing (to the front).

The fire extinguishers have been sprayed in semi gloss black and I made some supports out of photo-etch leftovers.

The roll cage was built into the interior with a lot of effort. The parts being made of white metal, didn't help things. They are very soft and the form was already wrong when I bought the transkit. So I had to guess and try how the real roll cage had to look, and it cost me a lot of try-and-error before I got it right. But now I think it looks pretty ok, so it was worth it. The interior with the built-in roll cage looks like this :

Now I'm ready to do the finishing touch

So this is what it looks like. Everything is built-in, and the seat belts are added. I think it finally finished, so the "wedding" with the body is about to take part

Very interesting this one!

Just had time to reply but I've following this thread since it's start.

One question: Do you have any inside shots of the real car that shows CF on the transmission tunel? <---Is that its name?

The reason I ask is because when I made my Celica ST185 I had no pics of this part and applied CF to it as a wild guess, I'm thinking that if it appears on the Celica ST205 it could been truth on the ST185. Thanks! I hope I made myself clear.

Here comes the bride... It finally happened, body and chassis have been joined together. I also painted the panel lines of the doors, hatch and rear bumper; unlike the front bumper and the hood which are separate parts. I mounted the top air box and the rear spoiler, and I built in the headlights which were painted with a small black edge. I mounted the mesh in the front bumper and I painted the blinkers (bare metal foil + X-26 clear orange). This is how the "marriage" looks like with all parts (some of which still dry fitted) mounted :

And here we perform a "Celica-striptease"

And once again from another angle :

Great work, stunning Lady "Celica". Actually, one of the cars which are female in german, grammatically!
