Completed - Tamiya Zexel Skyline R32 GT-R Gr.N

Hot off the model table, this one is 100% OTB.

I still need to practice and show more patience in masking off and painting the window surrounds as these are rough, I think i know why, I failed to go back and reseal the edges properly after cutting them with a fresh blade.
This is a really nice kit, I love these R32's and I particularly like the body additions on this Gr.N 24hr racer. No fit problems at all and very easy to build. The decals were very dry and brittle which caused a couple of problems and they are a touch yellowed. Next time I wil sit them in the sun a while.

Anyway, hope you like it!

AJ

Thanks, those two decals were awful, I almost removed them completely. For some reason that corner of the decal sheet where they were was a little creased and as we all know, creased decals split very easily. I also forgot to mention that I omitted to remove the Nissan and GT-R body details on the rear, I missed where that was called out for in the instructions.

I want to do a car that isn't white next (I think 95% of all the cars I own are white based!!), so I think I might tear into a Taisan Starcard Porsche GT2 or maybe the Jagermeister BMW 320i. Hmmm, decisions decisions....

Nice work Technoman.
Although I think we have a contender for the title of the most unimaginative race car livery ever!

Yes, not very exciting is it, they preferred function over form apparently.

Next car should be a little more interesting, I have decided to do the Taisan Starcard Porsche GT2 from Tamiya.

Very cool build! Hmm, I have never seen this kit before. Does anyone know if it is out of production?

The kit is discontinued, but it is easy to get on eBay at very reasonable prices.
