Maserati is returning to the US with two cars: the Spyder and the Coupe. The 3200GT has been redesigned and is now powered by a 4244cc non-turbo V8 producing 390hp. Both cars are said to offer two transaxles: six-speed manual or Cambiocorsa six-speed, similar to Ferrari's F1 transaxle. The company says, "the return of Maserati cars on American and Canadian roads is on track for first quarter of 2002, when the new Maserati Spyder will reach showrooms." "In early 2004 Maserati's model line will be complete with the introduction of a four-door sedan designed by Pininfarina."

So there is no more twin Turbo 3200 V8

I'm guessing the new sedan will replace the Quattroporte (Which is still on sale in NZ till the 2nd Quater) Lets hope it is the end of the boxy styling and unreliabilty, because if Maserati wants to steal sales from 7-series, S-class and LS430 buyers those two things are crucia

Ferrari, Maserati's owner, is taking care of all of the brand's old problems. And the Quattroporte has been out of production for a few months now.

The turbo V8 has been replaced by the non-turbo 4.2L.

lol I can't believe I was ever skeptical about the Turbo Maserati being replaced by an N/A one- the 4200 is far better Much nicer to drive the the 3200.

I also sucked at the spelling 18 months ago
