Nissan gtr 2010 racecar question

Hello everyone!!

I want to build the NISSAN GTR 2010 "Sumo Power" racecar, and I found this decals in HLJ:

http://www.hlj.com/product/SHKD106

The manufacturer recommends this Tamiya kit:

http://www.tamiya.com/english/produc...gt_r/index.htm

The kit builds the street car version, and I can't find a transkit to do the race car. Is there a transkit available? Please help!

Hi Sam,

if I'm not wrong these two kits are the ones needed:

Hey Phil!

I tought those were the kits, but it seems that is the old version of the GTR, There is a new version but not a racecar transkit

Sorry, you'll have to modify the standard Tamiya street version. There currently is no transkit available for the FIA GT1 race car. The Super GT kit will not work since it is much different than the GT1 version (different interior layout, body panels, etc). The GT1 version is a bit more subdued than the Super GT car. Shunko Models tends to make decal sheets for cars that currently don't have a transkit available (Super GT Lexus SC's, latter version Honda NSX, etc.). I have the first GT1 livery that was released by Shunko awhile back, but it still looks like a hefty task to modify so that might not be till waaayyy later - if at all if I'm absolutely honest. Good luck!

Yeah, it would be a HUGE task, specially with all those air vents in the race car, so I think I will buy the decal sheet and wait for a miracle from Tamiya, Fujimi or Aoshima

Thanks for the info!

It doesn't look as hard as making the Super GT car from scratch... hehe. The GT1 race car has similar proportions to the road car than the crazy flared Super GT car.

Anyway, I doubt any of the big names will be making a separate version. Best bet would be from Hobby Design or similar aftermarket companies.
