Hey everybody,
I´m posting a question for all you advance modelers to answer. I just got myself a 1/16 Fujimi Ferrari F 40, which includes some mesh to put onto the model (in the rear and in the front!). Before starting to work on the model, I´d like to know from you all, what the best was would be to work the mesh parts, since I donßt want to screw the work up! So, please, send me some information on that topic! |

sometimes I use PVA glue to glue mine on, or just normal plastic glue.

I use white glue like Microscale Krystal Klear, it dries clear and you can wash it off if you mess up.

I take the risk and use CA. You obviously need to take care coz you cant press it down into position, coz err...its got holes in it
A method i use is to put the mesh in position then sort of spot weld it with a cocktail stick dipped in CA. Capilary action will help to bond the mesh and help to prevent the glue seeping out onto the visable area of the mesh.

If is a cloth made mesh, I use cement. If is a etching, I will use Modeler's Glue. Modeler's glue smell like UHU glue but after it dry, the strong is the same as ca glue, but doesn't fog. My friend did told me before this glue was the same glue that BBR use on their etching parts. IMO.
