Well, I had a BlueBird DET in my SE-R for a couple of years and I put about 40,000 miles on it during that time.
I have since pulled the motor and gone thru it, but when I pulled it apart, it had no signs of ANY problems associated with it. The bearings showed no copper, the piston skirts had no wear other than initial break-in wear markings. I really should have just left it alone.... the only reason I didn't was because I am reassembling it with 300 ZTT pistons and dropping it back into a different SE-R with an FMAX kit. So, I figured better safe than sorry. Jon

I bought the car with the BB DET in it. I think it came from SOKO. My white car was one of the 1st FWD DET swaps ever done in the states. Long before JWT had an ECU available.
