It came out great! Good job mate. I'm almost done with one of my skyline GT-R builds.

Re: Mitsubishi FTO GPvR
Best FTO EVA.
The little lights under the main headlights are very well done. All the details, such as the keyholes, wipers, mirrors, and interior catapult this build into the upper reaches of this hobby. What a sight to behold. It is my belief that your construction and presentation skills are among the best I have seen. All three of your builds; each is a wonderful realization of vision, skill and persistence. What a result!

Re: Mitsubishi FTO GPvR
Thanks for the replies guys!
About the interior, I do not have many photos on it since it was a quick job. It was mainly the carpeting that took the most time of about 3 hours, and then filling up the seat backs which was mostly waiting for the putty to harden. Some details were added to the seats but I never took the time to make them accurate as they are hardly seen through the tiny side wondows. The whole tub was sprayed tamiya XF1 and with assembly+paint it took less than 8 hours to finish the interior. ![]() Also, steering wheel was taken off a fujimi evo model (that model gave me THREE steering wheels!), which was simply painted black hence no pics. |

Re: Mitsubishi FTO GPvR
Actually I am ok with white cars, just that on all these cars I think they look the best in white. One of the real TRD altezza is white, and I was trying to replicate it. The FTO version R comes with only 3 factory colors, white, black, and red (If I remember correctly from GT2
) and the DIY decals show up best on a white background, plus I like FTOs in white, seems like it was made to accept that color. The STi, it was my second time spraying white in 5 years so I was trying to get better at it. It was harder to paint a uniform white color rather than some darker color, after using grey primer to do mold line/sink marks corrections on random parts of the body.I had a successful time applying white onto the FTO with uniform coverage, dustless, and be fairly quick, but too bad I screwed up the polishing part, and then screw up the "covering the polishing screw-up" part, leading a full repaint, which clogged up some panel lines. |
