Intrigue motor swap 3.5 to 3.8

Can it be done? Some intrigue models came with the 3.8. The car is nice and I want to bring it back to life but have mixed feelings about fixing or swapping the 3.5 for another 3.5.

Not to quarrel, but I think that poster says it isn't worth it. I would agree.

Thanks for the feedback... 107000 and sounds like timimg chain issue and bent valves... Planning on just pulling motor and rebuild the 3.5.

What types of sounds/noises are you hearing?

The timing components very rarely fail in the LX5, especially at only 107,000 miles.

Are you going to do the work yourself? I'd be curious to know how much you think it will run you. The 99 I bought 18 months ago had the same deal, so I plopped in a used one for $650.
