Question Strange smell?

Have any of you experienced a bad odor (like sulfur or something) when you park your car or put it in reverse? My car is still less than a month old and was wondering if it might just be the clutch or brakes or something because they are new? i'm getting tired of explaining it to people when they are uncomfortably looking around to see what stinks!

I have the same problem!

I purchased a 2003 Infiniti G35 sports coupe. Brand Damn new, I bought it before christmas in 2002. On the way home from the dealership I started experiencing a odor and a viberation. It would come and go. After 4 trips to the dealership and they have had my car over 30 days, they have found that the rear brake system will lock down at any giving time. They act like I was damn crazy until I drove it the last time to the dealership with smoke coming out of the rear wheels. As of today 2-24-2003 they still have the car and it is unfixed. Help if you know anything that will help!

i dont know where you are located but you should look into the lemon law.. where they are required to reimburse or replace the car. that's rediculous and unnacceptable. i wonder if that is where the smell from my car is coming from?

Angry Infiniti acts like I'm the only one with this problem!

Infiniti acts like I'm the only one with this problem. No way, just dont know what to do to fix it. Im in the Lemon law process now. I want another G35, when the brakes aren't locking down, its running great. This is my 4th Infiniti and the first really bad problem. Keep in touch, the problem started slightly to extremely bad over the past 60 days.

ahh.. i bought mine at modern infiniti in winston-salem, nc..

i'm bringing mine to Richmond Infiniti to fix the heated seats (broke, only 4 weeks old).. i'm going to ask them to check out the rear brakes to see if they can find the cause of the smell. i'll let you know if i find anything out.

i've been told by the dealer that its the cat converter, especially when you step on it and the car is new. i've already noticed its gone away for the most part.
