Changing fuel filter
Are there any tips anyone can give me before I change the fuel filter on an 02 GT. Dad said the fuel lines can sometimes be bent if constant pressure is not held on the nut. I have read the how-to on this procedure. I work on a lot of stuff but used to always just let someone else do the car items for times sake. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Changing fuel filter
I would soak the fitting threads with some wd-40 or something, and use a line wrench on the fuel line otherwise it may round over. These can be very hard to remove if rusted or corroded and you can easily twist or break the fuel line.

Re: Changing fuel filter
Soak the fitting with PB blaster a day before you do the replacement. It is fairly simple, just make sure you use a cresent wrench or vice grips to hold the fuel filter from twisting and use a quality line wrench or open end wrench to loosen the fitting. If fitting is stuck or hard to get off, try tapping the fitting lightly with the wrench to loosen some of the rust.
