Re: Ferrari FXX 1/24
Thanks Zachary.
This was the first kit i beleive i owned, i started it about 2 years ago and just got back to it. The body was painted but needs to be stripped. Some parts were primed with grey primer some parts got no primer and it just doesnt look right. So into CSC it goes. ![]() ![]() Nearly completed the engine now. ![]() Front uprights are complete. ![]() Zubski |

Nice work on the front axle assembly. Any idea what colour the body will be? Keep up the good work

Re: Ferrari FXX 1/24
Hi, so you're gonna strip the body raw again?
be careful on what you use to do the stripping, tamiya plastic can be brittle in some areas...also, if you want a complete color matching paint, be sure to strip it very clean. i have not start anything on this kit so i don't have much advice to give here, as a rule of thumb...the more openings the body houses, the more complex the final fitting will be. the previous enzo kit has some issues of the doors can't fully flushed & was left in open state to display instead...you can read more on this in those tamiya enzo builds here... good luck!

Re: Ferrari FXX 1/24
Hello
Paint is stripped from the body. Spent alot of time sanding after to get it ready for new paint. I will probably use Bright red. Here you can see a picture of before sanding and after. ![]() I have been alittle busy with the Kawasaki ZZR1400, very fun kit. I would post a wip but i already have two going right now and i don't think you would want to see anymore Paint should go on soon. |

Re: Ferrari FXX 1/24
Hi zubski,
i hope you don't mind me saying this, if you keep sanding down those body parts...you'll lose quite alot of panel lines /details in the process. i suggest you stop doing it & soak the whole thing into used brake fluid for a day or so instead. i can strip my damaged paintworks in it, so clean that all i need to do is use a toothbrush & brush away those peels. give it a try...

Re: Ferrari FXX 1/24
Brake fluid and I have a love-hate relationship....I love how it strips paint, but I hate having to use it because it means I screwed up again.
![]() Seriously though I would pick some up and try it. I think you will be very happy with the results. |

i made many costly mistakes too...now i know some plastic (those older kits) can't use brake fluid as they will become very brittle. i learnt through paying tuition fees (mistakes like this) too! hehe...
