If i can glue somthing together before painting then i prefer to do that. it will give you a better finish on that part and it will look like one peice.

I'm starting on a Fujimi Integra Type R DC-5 (RSX in USA) So I should first sand the body, spoiler, front/rear bumper, and side mirrors. Than glue them onto the body. Than wash it with soap and water, than primer and paint etc. Is this a good? Thnx!

I like to leave the mirrors off because it can cover parts of the body from being painted.

Leave mirrors and rear spoilers off and do them by themselfs.
To hard to paint under spoilers etc when glued to the body

I usually leave the spoilers till the end -like pman said - its hard to paint under it once its stuck. Things like the bonnet, etc, I usually tape it from the underneath to hold in place on the body.

How do you know where to glue the mirrors on if you paint the body separately? Once the smooth paint is on, it covers the little "guide" area where the mirror goes (example: tamiya supra). Just wondering because it seems like it would be a big hassle, especially after you got the paint down like you want it. Any tips?

thnx guys! I guess you could put a very small piece of tamiya tape on the place where the mirrors go if u have a hard time of knowing where to glue it.

Hey, another person from Hawaii! Anyways, when I spray my cars, I do the other parts separatly unless your molding it on!

BTW, what part of Hawaii are you located? I'm all the way on the north shore of Oahu.

Actually, someone on this forum mentioned that they put a real small piece of stylene between the two pieces, like using it as a pin.
