slightly tuned testarossa in progress

hi all, i went to my local hobby shop yesterday and found this kit, an italeri 1:16 ferrari testarossa for pretty cheap, so why not give a try!

projects are:

dropped suspension
new rims with color matched lip
maybe a new front lip
and custom sound system but not sure yet about this one

anyway, here are the pics of the kit

the stock rims that look like a tractor set-up

and with new rims. will be gloss black for the center and color-matched lips

that's it for now, i just finished the primer. i'll post some new pics as soon as i paint the car!

it will be tamiya mica blue

OH MY GOD!!! You realize you just made my day!?!?!

I have this same kit, and the wheels look atrocious. I never thought of using some wheels from a die cast dubs, or something along the lines. lol

I love those wheels on there. I guess I'll be building a Ferrari pretty soon.

Re: slightly tuned testarossa in progress

Sweet! I'm tuned. My LHS had the original of this kit. I almost bought it but wanted to see it built first. Those original wheels suck! What kit or diecast did you snag the new wheels from?

Re: slightly tuned testarossa in progress

Correct me if im wrong, but i believe that the rims are aluminum sleeved CE28Ns...
