Silverado, not your ordinary build...

Well after working on this model on and off for about a year it is finally going to be completed. Really excited about this one as it was my first full frame build and a FULL conversion, not just a bumper or something small. Progress from teh beginning came be found here http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=601001 I have more pics of it that Im surprised were not posted in there so if you want more progress let me know. As a lot of you guys know I havn't been around here in quite a long time due to building my 1:1 working, and jumping between girlfriends and the problems that go along with them.... Long story short I am back on track and no more drama for me. The silverado was a build I really wanted to do since I built my first one and it started falling apart. So I decided if Im going to do this Im going to do it crazy, so I did. Not only did a build the full frame with atriangulated four link, I also built my own air tank, fuel cell, and a few other items to add to the build, not sure if there are any pics in my progress thread of those or not though.... If anyone has any questions let me know Ill be more then happy to answer them for you!!!

Old Silverado.... never got the pics or the attention it deserved lol

The new shit....

Another project sittig on the back burner, almost done really....

Re: Silverado, not your ordinary build...

Looks great!

love the paint and interior....

I am planning a MiniTruck S-10 pretty soon (similar to the smaller chevy in the other pic just the newer body style), and i was wonderin where you got that steering wheel?

also....are you suspension dropping (bagging) or just frame dropping this one?....or maby both??

should turn out awesome either way...

Re: Silverado, not your ordinary build...

What do you mean here we go again??? The stripe was pinstripe tape I found in the hobby shop.

Update on this one, bad news unfortunately. Had to sand most of the paint down, started polishing it out and there were little specs of dust that arose so sanding everything down now, waiting for the putty to dry had to fix one part and should be respraying soon. There was a mold line on the whole passenger door that was NOT there, it was all smooth in primer and when I painted it it came out so strange but nothing I can do about it but fix it lol.

Re: Silverado, not your ordinary build...

Damn you havnt missed a beat, still cranking them things out. I saw a few of your builds over on SAE I will post the silverado over there once I get the paint issue all worked out, hopefully it wont be too painless to repair this one. Glad to see a lot of friendly faces around here!
