Tamiya F2001 !!! 9 pics !!!

HI !!!

so this is my latest project and the first model that i post here !!! It's a F2001 from Tamiya. I added Marlboro decals and CF Decals and I used the Studio27 PE detailset !!! I'am 16 years old and from Germany and here are the pics !!!









and this is how it looks in my display (i hope it's the right word)

The Pit crew on the lower shelf is working on Rubens F2001 :sun: !!! mhh it wasn't very hard to build !!! The kit is very good and the parts fits good together !!! It's Tamiya quality !!!

Great work! Put a matt clear coat on the crew's clothing so that it will look more realistic.

mmhhh .... that are agip guys because ...... they are from 1988 or something like that !!! yeah its a good idea to put some matt clear over the pit crew clothes !!! thx !!!

Looks good, nice detail set, especially with the sponsor decals rather than the nice 'blank' set that comes in the kit. Good work.

I'm in 2 minds about the pit crew. You're right, they are from the old days of F1, and I wish that Tamiya, or Verlinden or someone would bring out a new set with the full overalls, as that would really add to the realism (would LOVE to get a set of McLaren 'Space Suit' maccies out on the tarmac...). Unfortunately, we'll probably not see it until they decide that actually we SHOULD have them and stick them in the box anyway (like with the rally car drivers...)

Would be nice to see pics of Rubens cars, and any others you have....

BWheel you're right !!! I think it were great if tamiya bring out a new pit crew ! and a DRIVER !!!!!!!! But i think it looks better in my display with some mechanics even if they wear t-shirts !! I'll post other pics of my models soon when i 'm not so busy!!! school sucks !!!
