Which car?
I am going to be getting a new car within the next few years. I was wonder which to get. I want something with a turbo(preferably) an engine that can handle mods. Here are a few I was thinking of. Feel free to add others.
Nissan 350z - Pros- Good handling decent power. -cons N/a and doesnt respond well to mods) 2005 Mustang Mach 1- Pros - Immense power and torque and nive looks- cons- Cant handle vey well. Vey common Lancer Evolution- Pros- Turbo, nice handling and speed- Four door. can't shake slightly 2f2f look. Subaru Wrx STi- same as evo Pontiac GTo- same as mustang except possibly better drivetrain. I would like a car that can run low 13s high 12s and still compete in autox. Thanks for your time. Please reply. |

You don't give the GTO much credit. Very nice interior, decent straightline speed (350hp, 3700lb curb weight), IRS, somewhat bland looking. The engine responds well to mods, head/cam packages run 3-5K and can get 410rwhp-460rwhp. I'm not sure why you think it can't handle though, the weight will be an issue obviously, but that chassis is fairly good at handling.

Sorry about the Gto handling. I just thought it was a bit to heeavy to handle competentley. However I don't think it looks like A GTO should either.

If you are on a super tight budget...the Mach 1...w/it costing so cheap...you could upgrade the rear suspension and make it a decent handling car from the crap that it is...
But if you have the 30-32k to spend...get the Evo...or STi...drive both to find out which |

I'd say sti or evo... quick as all hell with their all wheel drive, and even though they're family sedans and weigh a lot, they have great handling.
