Replacement Tires?

I'm brand-spankin'-new to this forum, so first I'd like to say hi. About 3 months ago, I bought a '00 Silverado 1500 4X4 ext. cab with LT trim. So far, I absolutly LOVE the truck. It's the nicest vehicle I have ever owned. Anyhow, it has 46,000 miles on it and it still has the original Firestone tires. They will need to be replaced soon, and I'm trying to decide between two contenders: Kelly Safari AWR and Cooper Discoverer A/T. I live in PA, so we do get snow. I hunt, but I rarely drive anywhere that would require a beefy off-road tire. I do 95% of my driving on the road. What I'm looking for, is a tire that will give a quiet, comfortable ride on the highway, but will do well in the snow, and an occasional off-road adventure. Do any of you have any experience with either of the two tires I mentioned? I don't want to have to take out a second mortgage for tires .

Well I didn't get any feedback from anyone on here, but I thought I'd share how I made out for those of you who may need tires soon. I looked at about 6 different brands and types, and I setteled on the Cooper Discoverer AT. I bought them in the P265/75R16 which is an exact replacement for the original Firestones I had. So far, I am very impressed with these tires. They ride real nice and are very quiet on the highway. They have a nice aggresive tread, and handle great. They have a 50,000 mile warranty and the best part is, they only cost me $99 each which included mounting and balancing. It pays to shop around though. The price for this same tire varied greatly from one Cooper dealer to the next. Anyhow, if anyone wants great replacement tires for your Silverado, check out the Cooper Discoverer AT.
