Tamiya Porsche 959 'Cutaway' - Finished Pics (4pcs)

Hi guys,

As promised earlier on (I got my friends digicam on loan last weekend ) I'm posting some models that I build a couple of years ago, before I knew about this mad, cool, nice place. This time I show you a project thqt I did some 6 or 7 years ago.

It's Tamiya's Porsche 959 in a 'Cutaway' version, like they sometimes do when new cars are getting launched at big car shows. Also the same sort of cutaway was done once in a Tamiya magazine and I "stole" the idea of building the same.

The actual cutting away was a bit tricky but turned out ok. The seats were covered with some very thin real leather. The rest is 'out of the box'. I hope you enjoy the pics.

Incredible work! I have a pic somewhere at home of Tamiya's 959 cutaway in a brochure that came with my 180SX kit. If I get a chance I'll scan for comparison!

Great job again!

Awesome work!

Thumbs up Awesome

Awesome dude... The 959 is one of my all time favourite cars. It's also the first Tamiya car kit I built more than 10 years ago. Unfortunately I mucked it up real bad.

Holy crap, i think I'll get another 959 and an F40.
