I saw a copper S whiping a civic i was really suprized how quick and nimble the mini's are that turbo they have really gets them moving fast but could you exspect anything less from BMW i think not.

Their are a LOT of Mini's here in CT

My neighbor up the street has one. he comes flying through my suburban neighborhood doing no less than 60 every day. and some kid at my school has one as well. I raced his. I was impressed that they were as good as they were and it was a good race and all (i won, of course it's good) but it's just not one of those things i'd ever like to have. Personally, I think they're kinda ugly

They're not turbo'd.

sorry my bad.
After going to the site i think i want an S cooper, six speed super charged sounds nice i really like the Areo kit with it too and with a few mods i could be the a really fast car. I think it said its top (US) speed is 135mph and it does 0-60 in 6.9 but i think a chip could improve on that. Also take a look at it inside i love how they put the big Tachometer right in front of you and the speedometer off to the right it looks so sporty inside i think me and my dad are going to test drive one and see how it feels i think it would be a good first car for me.

I hate Mini's.........in my opinion they are way too overpriced! and i mean...i checked some of them out at the local car show...just don't like them..they offer nothing a car costing far far less offers..plus they're ugly..

oh yea...and in a 5mph offset bumper test, the frame was twisted....pretty sad if ya ask me.

I'm quite surprised that you won i mean those mini S are quite a bit more powerfun than a civic ex and probably more light. I guess the other driver wasn't very good.

I don't think he ever said it was a Mini S. The Mini S's run low 15's. It can beat even a stock Si.

Guess you're right i don't know why I assumed he was talking about an S. Probably because a lot of people were talking about them in the previous posts. If it wasn't an S I can see how he won easily.

I've never raced a new Mini, but I got a chance to hot lap an original MkI Mini Cooper S at Mid-Ohio. Rule Brittania! That little thing was a BLAST! Nothing like charging into a chicane at 50MPH in a 35+ year old car and knowing it'll stick even though it feels like it's going over.

Hmm. If I can scrape together 18K, maybe I know what Layla's winter stand in should be.

Actually, the Mini Cooper handles very well, an is hailed as the best handling FWD production car. I'll still take that MazdaSpeed Protege, if it has the same suspension as the MP3

I'm sure people are already making turbo swaps for the Cooper S, just bolt on the manifold and plumb the lines for the turbo

Hmmm...read the post in here about the 400hp Mini.

I've seen 15 from Sept. to now, not many around here. The closest i got to racing one was on my way into Toronto on Thursday. A black one (don't know it was an S or not) was rolling along and i got beside it and pushed my nose ahead then slid back a few times; trying to get him to swallow the bate.

He wasn't interested though, so i took off. :grey:
