Hello!
Looking at getting into my first 4x4. Someone give me some honest feedback on a 5spd 2002 SE S/C Xterra. Good or bad, I'd love to know. Thanks! Appleyard5 |

Everyone here loves their X....Don't know what you want to do with your rig, but most folks here go offroad so don't ask any questions about 22" rims.
If you want a manual S/C, then buy it now. It doesn't look like you'll be able to get one in 2003 (according to the build tool on the Nissan website) S/C's require premium gas... Manual vs auto is a individual preference. Autos can tow more. Haven't heard anything bad about the S/C besides it only "seems" to really help at the top end (haven't driven one, so I can't speak to that personally) Other than that, if you like it then go for it. |

I wish I got an automatic. It gets better mileage on the highway, and having to deal with a weak clutch on a steep bouldered trail sucks. It's a real purdy truck that can tackle a lot of fun trails, but don't expect to hang with the big boys. Just my 2¢.

when i get the money up im trading my 92 yoda pickup for something automatic prolly...#1 reason is cuz its old and the suspension aint gonna take much off roading....and #2 cuz when you do off road even a lil its a pain in the ass to be going up a hill and have to switch gears...and it isnt fun having to change gears when your in a mud pit or something
