RB26/VG30 in A 240SX?

As you can read from the title, I am considering either of the Nissan monsters for a swap into an older 240SX that I will buy. I was wondering if

1. Are either of them even possible?

2. If so, which one would have more potential?

3. Which would cost less, or be less of a pain in the ass to perform?

4. Which would have greater aftermarket support?

5. Which is more reliable?

6. Should i just do a SR20 instead and call it good?

7. Are there any examples of the RB26 or VG30 already in a 240?

8. Finally, I want to convert the less-than attractive 240 into a beautiful Silvia S14 or S15. What year 240 should I buy to accomodate both the new engine and body panels? Also, where can I find the kits to convert to S14 or S15?

9. My final goal is a RB26 in side a S14/15 conversion, still streetable.

1) With money...anything is possible...the RB26DETT is a PAIN to install though...rated an 11 by professional mechanics at Unstable Hybrids...VG30DETT...hmm I think it could work but would be a bitch to work on

2)The RB26DETT has more potential...can hold lots more HP on stock internals than the VG30DETT could...RB26's can probably hold over 600HP on stock internals if done well

3)Cost less...ha...both are expensive but the VG30DETT b/c you could find one in the states...the RB26DETT's are all over 6k for just the motor and tranny that I have seen

4)VG30DETT has good USDM support...the RB26DETT has TREMENDOUS JDM support...so the RB

5)I would say the RB26DETT...b/c in a comparison of the VG30DE (the NA Z32 engine) and the VG30DETT...the VG30DE wins...perhaps b/c it's NA but nevertheless...I would give the nod to Godzilla (RB)

6)Check SR vs. KA thread (hint...KA TURBO!!!)

7)Yes...in Japan mostly...but there's maybe a a few...more popluar to swap in is the RB25DET or RB20DET...RB26DETT as mentioned b4 are a pain due to the twins get in the way of the steering column of the 240SX

8)Well the S14 Silvia looks identical to the S14 240SX...minus maybe the badging and the Kouki wing...if you got the Aero package Silvia...so I'd say go w/the 95-98 240SX...I like the 95's myself the best...but most ppl like the 97-98's..hard to come buy though and more expensive and have the pesky OBD II crap! Doh!

9)RB26DETT is streetable totally...but like I said $$$
