Completed 58 Edsel Pacer lowrider

There once was an ugly duckling .........I don't know what I was on when I dreamt this one up - it's widely held as being one of the ugliest cars ever built but I kind of like it despite it's oddball styling.
It's pretty much as AMT intended but for a change of rims & some parts from the model Car Garage p/e detail set. Paint is Zero 2006 Dodge Plum Crazy - suspension was replaced by cocktail stick axles to get it in the weeds. I think it's a natural for the lowrider treatment but here's the pics so you can decide for yourselves:

Thanks for looking
Andy

I think that turned out pretty cool. If yer gonna have an ugly-ass car, load it up with chrome and SLAM it.

Re: Completed 58 Edsel Pacer lowrider

It's curious, I'm ignorant in american stuff, but I read about the Edsel experiment, brand name choice, and flop some months ago in the same old magazine where I took refs. for my F348 build, interesting, and.... yep I agree ugly LOL

Great job you done, I guess the first one I see, the lowrider look give a lot to its design.

Re: Completed 58 Edsel Pacer lowrider

that turned out really nice, and yes, if you chop the suspension and put some nice wheels on it (that fit the style of the car), ANY car will look good.
