Wheels for Eleanor

Hi All,

I am planning to build a model of Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds. Can anyone tell me where to get hold of rims in the style of the car from the film?

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Wheels for Eleanor

Got any pics of what you're looking for? Not everyone has seen the film.

Re: Wheels for Eleanor

AC Cobra rims are similar, but not quite.

But I'd say they're your best bet. That's what I have for my project.

Re: Wheels for Eleanor

Thanks for the responses, guys. It looks like the spoke design of Fujimi's AC Cobra are the closest match, but may be a little small. I may have to transfer the spokes onto a bigger rim...

I have heard that the wheels from a Ford GT40 may work?

Re: Wheels for Eleanor

depending on the year gt40, and it's livery that might be a good source. but I'd try to find a 1/20 scale gt 40 or 427 cobra, then get the wheel centers and make new lips for them.

I bet your local toy store has a set on a die cast car. that particular wheel design is becoming quite popular, so is shouldn't be to difficult to find.
