'84 GMC Shortbed Pickup

Well I started this tonight and I did a mockup right out of the box,

I didn't like how low it sat so I decided to fix that,

Sorry for the crappy pics but let me know what you think, I'm gonna go work on it some more and bring you updates later.

Re: '84 GMC Shortbed Pickup

I see you don't like those panel lines on the bed either LOL (The model was original made for the TV show The Fall Guy, he was a stuntman/bounty hunter who hid stuff/people in there).

There are some lift blocks in the kit, but I don't like them either: The stock springs are too 'flat', it looks awkward IMO. Nice job making the new, more arched leaf springs.

Re: '84 GMC Shortbed Pickup

Ok, I finished the camo on the cab and am getting ready to do the hood and tailgate, the bed still needs a litle more putty and paint so thats not ready yet.

I'm thinking about getting these wheels and tires for it, what do you think?

Nice, very different color scheme.

Damn I loved the Fall Guy! That and Knight Rider, lol.

Too be young again.

Those tires and wheels look awesome! I'd say go for em! That paint scheme is looking great too. Very nice work!

Re: '84 GMC Shortbed Pickup

if you go with a 350, check out the motor in the revelle '37 convertible with trailer, or the 37 sedan. it has one of the nicest SBC motors and they are quite redily available.

the wheels/tires are just perfect, but there HAS to be something done about the inside of the rim. that is just horrible, and as high as you have the truck, it WILL be seen.

Re: '84 GMC Shortbed Pickup

Wild paint,
I dig it.
I agree on the inside of the wheel deal.
I think it would look really good with a set of So Real concepts 44" boggers.

Keep up the good work.

Lookin awsome man!! Those wheels/tires are great. What did you use to mask the cammo? Or is it freehand? Keep up the great work!
