I found these photos in a webshots album and I've never seen them before. They are obviously taken at a show but which show?
The interesting part is that its wearing "Kenwood" plates, I know Kenwood made and supplied the stero system for Mclaren so I'm guessing that Mclaren lent them an F1 to display at a show? or is there another reason? 'Segg |

Based on the color alone, it looks to be XP5. It wouldn't surprise me if McLaren Cars loaned that car to them for a show and that the "KENWOOD" plates are phony. Nice pics though - I hadn't seen them before which is a pretty rare occurrence these days.
Any idea which show they came from? >8^) ER |

Also, I'd be willing to bet these photos were taken before #073 was ever even built. >8^) ER |

What I know and What I dont....
The plates are just show plates, there is no way they can be real. They are english plates (white on the front yellow on the back, both reflective) and there is no way you can make the word "Kenwood" from English plates and register it.....
Second why have fake English plates on the car if its being displayed in Holland? and I would assume the pics were taken a while ago, since the car has been out for something like 10 years why would Kenwood still boast about supplying the Stereo? technology has moved on since they made the sound system for the Mclaren so I dont think they would still use it as a promotional tool... but I could be wrong Judging but the second one, I think the pics are scanned, you can see a wedge of light at the bottom, like they haven't been careful placing the photo in the scanner and its got tilted. Here is the Webshots album I got them from, there is a couple of other photos I have never seen before in there too.... http://community.webshots.com/album/58832423wAWNdi/1 Okay thats everything I know or can logically assume about the car 'Segg |

SWEET PICS MAN! GOOD FIND!
well, the kenwood plates are obviously fake. it could be a kenwood stand and they are just reminding everyone they supplying the audio equipment to the greatest car on earth. as for the lights problem, its simple, they could have just been switched, just like the indicators on the road car.... |

Re: Anyone know about this car?
I take it as this is a 2003 thread no-one has the pictures anymore?
If you do can you re-host them?
